FAQ

How much does it cost to produce a professional video?

The cost depends on what your project calls for. We always offer a free consultation with our clients, and from there we will provide you an estimate. A small one day, one-person crew can cost as little as $600, whereas larger-scale multi camera productions requiring more crew can cost much more. Every project is different and we work with you to figure out exactly what your needs are!

How long will it take to get a final cut?

Every project is different. Usually, the amount of time it takes to deliver a project depends on the scale and urgency of a project. We discuss each and every factor with our clients to create a deadline for rough cuts and final cuts to make sure that we are budgeting our time wisely!

If we hire Seven Knots Productions to shoot our next project, do we have to use you for post-production?

Of course not – BUT – we are a full-service production company, and we specialize in all aspects of the process. Chances are if we’re working with you on a shoot, we’ll have an idea of what you want in the post-production process as well. That being said, every project is different and we’re happy to work with you in whatever way we can, even if it’s just a part of the process.

If we hire someone else to shoot our next project, could Seven Knots Productions do our post-production?

Of course – BUT – again we are a full-service production company, and we specialize in all aspects of the production process. If we do the shooting as well as the post production on your project, we can make sure that we are using the workflow that we are familiar with, which often times will make it more cost-effective for our clients. Working in post using someone else’s footage can sometimes add time on the front end as far as organization and planning. But again, we’re happy to work with you in any part of the process, so however that can happen, it’s a win!

What’s your travel policy?

We love to travel! We will discuss terms of travel during the contract phase. We do generally require appropriate compensation for travel expenses such as food, lodging and fuel costs.
